1.It was built as a center of Greek culture around 200 B.C.
2.It is located some thirty miles South east of Sardis.
3.Philadelphia was celebrated for its excellent wine.
4.The City had a heavy Jewish population.
5.It was destroyed by an earthquake in A.D 17 but soon rebuilt by Tiberins Caesar. |

So in the Holy Bible Philadelphia is a church in Rev = 3 : 7 to 13. It speaks about the faithful church that kept Christ’s word and did not deny Him. The word PHILADELPHIA means “Love” or “Brotherly Love”. In Greek it is called ‘Agape’ i.e. a caring for and seeking the highest good of another person without motive of personal gain. Rom = 5:5. |

In Heb 13:1 it says keep on loving each other as brothers. |

So love is the most effective weapon; without this all the various gifts of the Holy spirit are of no avail. |

Love, the essence of God’s nature.
Love, the perfection of Human Character.
Love, the most powerful ultimate force in the universe. |

In 1 Thess 4 : 9, 10 ; 1 Thess 3 : 12 says" Love each other and let the love increase and overflow." What is love ? |
|
It describes love as an activity and a behavior not just as an inner feeling or motivation. So every one must be moulded & built in this attitude of love. The greater and the Second commandment in the New Testament is “Love your neighbor as Yourself” Mk 12 : 31 ; Mtt 22 : 39, so the Holy Bible says in I Cor 13 : 4 to 8

Love does not boast.
Love does not have pride.
Love is not rude.
Love is not self seeking.
Love is not easily greedy.
Love does not keep record of wrong ; it forgives.
Love does not delight in evil.
Love rejoices with the truth.
Love always trusts.
Love always hopes.
Love always perseveres.
Love never fails.

So in the last days every Brother & sister must seek to grow in this kind of love. “Love will endure when you keep it pure” |
